Descriptions of Services
Call Services
Members are called once a week
(minimum) on a day and approximate time of their choice to discuss their
health and welfare or have a general chat; and to determine and overcome
issues relating to stress and to remove anxiety and isolation.
24 Hour Emergency Telephone Cover
Our unique 24 hour cover is available
365 days per year, giving a personal response to any emergency that may
arise.
We hope that members never have to
call us, but it is comforting and reassuring to know that we are there if
needed. If they do need us all they have to do is call the normal Link
Line number 01902 429174.
Benefits Checks
As part of your membership, to ensure our members are receiving all of their
statutory benefits, we are able to help with Benefits Checks.
We may also be able to help in
accessing benefits from charitable institutions.
Signposting
We are able to assist members in
obtaining free services to improve the quality and safety of their lives,
such as smoke alarms, security devices, fire safety checks, disability
aids, etc. We are also able to identify the appropriate agencies available
to deal with specific problems as they arise.
Emergency Shopping
No-one can predict when a member may
be in need of urgent support as a result of an accident, deterioration in
health, medical treatment or change in social conditions. Our emergency
shopping service ensures that fresh food and provisions are available in
the event of a member being unable to obtain them in their normal way.
Resources restrict us to offer this
service for free for a maximum period of 3 weeks only.
Bereavement
In the event of bereavement, our
specially trained outreach staff are available to make home visits to
members.
