Flexible Working Opportunities with Link Line in NorthamptonLink Line operating in the local community has a variety of opportunities for sessional work helping members with shopping, light cleaning and gardening and taking to medical appointments in the Northampton Area. A qualification in Social Care would be advantageous.Find out more about Link Line sessional working at the Meet the Team Open Presentation Link Line is a pro-active telephone support service working across Northampton area. The Service provides a regular telephone contact, in all community languages, for those whose health, mobility or circumstances could put their quality of life at risk. Available 24 hours a day 365 days a year the friendly service regularly keeps in touch with members enabling them to retain their independence by coping with every day living and to live as full a life as practically possible. Our outreach support services include accompanied support to hospital and medical appointments, shopping either assisted or on users behalf together with home visits, benefit checks, help with cleaning, general household and garden tasks and bereavement support. Increasing demand for Link Line ServiceThe existing Link Line services together with the new services continue to attract new members increasing the demand particularly for outreach services such as help getting to medical appointments, with shopping and for services such as cleaning and gardening. Need to expand the Link Line teamThis increasing demand for Link Line support means we need to expand the Link Line team by recruiting additional sessional workers to help primarily with outreach services. Sessional Link Line workers undertake the delivery of help with shopping, shopping on behalf of members, cleaning and gardening. All members of the Link Line team are subject to the enhanced CRB check. Most Outreach tasks are on average 2 hours in duration however gardening and cleaning can be longer. Sessional workers are Self Employed and are paid at the inclusive rate of £7.50 per hour.
